cockadoodle doo

Chicken pox are a funny wee thing. Some people want their kids to catch them young and some want them to be kept away - it's only polite you understand.

Eden has them which is great because if he got them when he was older he would feel a lot more grotty than he has felt at age 2.5. He has been just fine - except for the cold that has been going around the whanau and he is the last to receive it - now we have a bit of a Mr Grumpy.

He will not be coming on a trip to Wanganui tomorrow for my Great Aunty Nora's funeral. Just Caleb and I.

Caleb is over his cold - cross fingers. I thought he was waking up in the night because he was hungry so I started to introduce solids but no, he was getting miserable with a cold! Nevermind, we'll carry on, he's quite keen. I'm just not so keen on the 'output' shall we say. I was going to wait until the last minute to introduce solids!

Luckily Eden is not using many nappies these days Yay. We visited the toddler size loo in the Queensgate mall 3 times during our shopping trip on Monday - he was very keen on it! He is using the big toilet more and more at home and getting more and more independent which is great.
